Hey everyone so this is my first post on here and I'm new to all this so I want to make sure I have this information right.

I have an old inspiron 13 7000 series laptop that has a 512gb m.2 sata ssd and I want to upgrade to a larger one. My question is can i use a NVMe drive instead of a sata? From what I have read if the slot is keyed in the M position I can? Is this ture and if so I'm I looking at this right20230130_164334.thumb.jpg.fe1a1df821646b174a96776fbe45a4ae.jpg my slot is keyed for the m position

I don't know that M key position guarantees nvme SSD support by the mobo, so I would double check Dell specs on that.

If it does and you care about power consumption/battery life, get a SK Hynix P31 Gold SSD.
