Good overclocking software?

I think you mean software for stability testing/monitoring? HWmonitor, CPU-Z, real temp, prime95, IBT. Those are the first ones that come to mind.

you overclock using the MB Bios settings , unless you have a ASUS motherboard with has AI Suite 3 for overclocking , which does it for you but i would still advise that you do it your self it is not that hard there are many guides on this forum about it

Now to do the overclock. Got prime95 and coretemp.

No, no, no, no, don't use Prime95 with Haswell! It causes the voltages to go out of whack, and has even killed CPUs in some cases. Use OCCT or Aida64.

Another way is it look up what a solid overclck for your CPU is and add it to the bios

hey, that idea is good and it works. you can in fact test out settings with ai suite then edit your bios.

 

first, go into your bios and enable a fixed manual voltage for your cpu, just start with 1.15v and edit from there. that'll make ai suite behave a little better.

 

 

other than setting a fixed vcore, you should be fine. good luck and dont be surprised if your settings in software dont show up in bios after a reboot.

Got a i7-4770k Just wana find a stable overclock and then addit to the bios :D

Use Asus suite to find a stable overclock. But from what I have heard it is so good that you won't be able to increase the clock much more than the software. Because it does the overclocking just like any of use would it will increase the multiplyer and stress test and continue until it is not stable anymore etc....
