Looks like your screwed. I just looked at this model on Amazon and it looks like it comes in a 9.5mm and a 7mm think variant.

 

If I can make a suggestion though? If that's a laptop your working on and replacing its primary / only hard disk, please please please replace with an SSD!

Hey, thanks for the answer

This is the secondary slot, it has a nvme (only 256 though) on the first slot. 

I'm not sure I understand the first part though. On the installation guide it says "7mmH only"  isn't my HDD that size?

There's a couple "standard" sizes for height when it comes to 2.5" drives ... SSDs are pretty much sold only in 7mm height these days.

Mechanical drives were for a long time 9.5mm tall.

I see... That's bad luck I guess. I had this one lying around I guess I'll have to buy something new instead.

There are 2 main thickness of 2.5” HDD, the thin 7mm, and 9.5mm ( there were 12.5mm too, long ago ).    

and it looks like you need a 7mm one in that laptop.
