@LinusTech is right now struggling with bad feedback and I've made a thread about that.

So let's give him some helpful feedback via the best method I have learned for this:

5 Finger feedback (yes, the order is important, comment by copying this preset:)

👍 a thing to like

[Insert]

👉 a thing to point out

[Insert]

🖕 a thing I'm upset about

[Insert]

💍 a thing I'd put a ring on

[Insert]

✋ and one last thing

I'll start.

👍 a thing to like

I really like watching the wan-show, it is a great podcast to be productive with and I like how passionate Linus is about the things he loves, I like the nuance he can bring to the table and I get the things he is mad about.

👉 a thing to point out

Sometimes he is too impulsive and gets things wrong because of that. The Linux Challenge has made this painfully obvious for me. I get that Linux-UX is terrible at times, and it needs improvement. But especially when it comes to the reasons why stuff broke, Linus gave some incorrect or misleading explanations.

🖕 a thing I'm upset about

When Linus plays devils advocate, when he is doing his mean character for fun and people are critical about that ... just get over it.

People are allowed to not get your sarcasm.

Even when they get it wasn't meant literal, they may still not like it.

You're allowed to play the devil, but people may also not like that. It doesn't mean you can't make jokes anymore, and it also doesn't mean they are unreasonable for being upset.

💍 a thing I'd put a ring on

The Lab.

✋ and one last thing

I'm not happy with the charts anymore. I get the data-points are valid and important, but they just don't work anymore for me. And especially because of the narration put over it, the performance charts in recent videos are for me just white noise to my brain. But I also do not have a good idea to improve this.

I would really like to give constructive feedback on this, but improving this is such a difficult and also valuable process ... I feel like I'd need to get paid to justify the effort.
