RX 7900 XTX or RTX 4070 Ti (Australia)

Hello,

 

I'm in Australia and would like some suggestions as to whether I should get the Rx 7900 XTX or RTX 4070 Ti.

 

I won't be using Ray Tracing. I'm using it for 1080p gaming but I would like to maintain above 240 FPS. I would also like to future proof for 1080p, the most demanding game I currently play is COD MW 2.

 

The cheapest 4070 Ti right now is going for $1299 AUD and is a Galax card. While the cheapest AIB Rx 7900 XTX is the Powercolor Red Devil ($1929 AUD)

For those prices, the 4070Ti is it.

Both of those cards are overkill for 1080p.

I'd buy RDNA 2 based AMD card like the 6700xt or 6800 if COD performance is your priority and you don't care about Ray Tracing.

I agree but he wants above 240fps.    Not sure why but that's a parameter.

If he's fine with turning down some settings to high he could get away with an RX 6900 or 6950XT.

MW2's engine is really geared towards AMD cards to the point where buying one is a no brainer if that's the game you're mainly playing.

You don't need any of those GPUs for 1080p. You'll need a X3D CPU. Either wait for the new Zen 4 ones or go with the 5800X3D.

That I do not know truly but based on the raw horsepower of the card, I would say so.
