Hey so my pc that i have recently built has just bluescreened but in a weird way.

i have 3 monitors and before the bluescreen they were all on displaying things like discord and game and stuff, i went afk then when i came back it had the middle main display had the bluescreen frozen blurred into he background whilst everything that was previously still open also still displayed frozen on all my displays, almost as if the bluescreen had burnt into my display and frozen everything else. It had displayed an error named: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR

i researched what the error means and it just said it was a hardware issue and to “make sure windows was up to date” which i know is not the solution lol but i just dont know what the issue is. Can someone help please?

This can be hardware or software... u need to check in event viewer what exactly the error says and which devices it points to...

That said we also need full specs and if BIOS and chipset drivers are updated to the latest available and applicable versions ?

The direction tells you... the direction

Ok i have a few queries because this is the part im not very experienced with.

motherboard bios: how would i update that or find out if it is up to date

AMD chipset drivers: would i find those on the amd website? And how do i check to see if it is up to date also?

latest gpu firmware: correct me if i am wrong but i am guessing that you mean the drivers on the card and yes they are up to date thats the one thing i regularly do

RAM running XMP: i am not sure what xmp is. Can you tell me what to do to get it and what it is?

disable multiplane overlay: i am also not sure what this is. can you tell me what this does and how to do this?

sorry if this is a lot but i should also mention that along with these bluescreens my pc has also been randomly just restarting, but not actually restarting, it shuts off then straight back on like i held the power button and then pressed it again. Will happen randomly in the middle of doing anything but it is easily replicated when i play halo:MCC

i would greatly appreciate the help if you have the time to respond to this.

Bios? Can check in CPU-Z. Find new version on motherboard's webiste and if it's higher than the one you have, you read the manual of the board (has the guide how to flash) and then flash by the guide.

Chipset drivers? Yes, on AMD's webiste. You can check in the Device Manager for each componente of the chipset, but if you're asking where to download from - you don't have the latest!

GPU firmware? is the vBios, the Bios of the graphics card. Isn't a part of the drivers. You have to check for updates on the webpage of the graphics card you have. And the vBios you have, you can find out in GPU-Z.

XMP? XMP or Extreme Memory Profiles, is an Intel technology that allows you to change multiple memory settings by simply selecting a different profile, taking advantage of higher than standard memory speeds. If RAm is 3200 it is probably 2133 or 2400 by the JEDEC spec, and to get 3200 you have to enable XMP in the Bios (Asus calls the setting DOCP).

MPO? I am already bored, might I recommend a tiny search engine most of the world uses called Google?
