Bios Flash back

Go to solution Solved by Oshino Shinobu,

The white dash normally means the PC is trying to boot from a storage drive.

Unplug any USB storage devices, including anything like a phone and try booting again.

Hi I just wanted to check before I start this process I have a MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC and I had a Ryzen 5 2600 CPU and I upgraded the bios to the most recent release because I was upgrading to a Ryzen 7 5800X3D but for some reason every time I boot I get a black screen with one dash like this one in quotes "-" and cant get access to the bios I had this issue while I still had my 2600 installed and now with the 5800X3D installed so I just wanted to ask what you would recommend doing

What method did you use to update the BIOS?

Did you get a splash screen at all when the system rebooted?

Do you have any idea why this happens because it's still occurs but stop happening once I disconnect my USBs

Most likely the boot order settings in the BIOS. Chnage the order to put your storage drive with the OS on it at the top. You could also just disable all other boot options and only have your OS drive in the list.
