I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction with my problem. I recently finished putting together my build which consists of an Asrock B450M pro 4 motherboard, ryzen 5 5600 and 16gb or team group 3000mhz ram.

I bought the motherboard second hand and was told a bios update was performed so a 5000 series CPU would work. I have built a few systems before so I am pretty sure everything is plugged in the correct place.

I am having an issue getting the pc to post though. The pc boots for 10-20 seconds then reboots. I do not get any signal up on the monitor when connected to the system.

It is my suspicion that the BIOS has not in fact been updated. If so Is there a way of updating the BIOS without an older generation CPU as I do not have access to one.

Thank you for any help in advance.

the rebooting is ramtraining. it can boot several times, and can take 10-20 minutes before everything is said and done.. just leave it running and come back 30 min later. if it still is a problem you have issues.

I'll give it a try. Thank you very much.
