So I’ve already bought this setup, but I wanted to get some feedback on it. Nothing has been delivered, so not too late to return. The m.2 drive was actually free, ordered a 980 evo pro from Amazon but received a 970 evo pro used, just figured that out today and they are refunding.

* Bought the CPU and motherboard as a Micro Center Amazon package.

My main question is: why didn't you ask this question before ordering? Your actions (returning stuffs) causes others to pay more for their stuffs.

Honestly, I’ve been wanting a built desktop for 5 plus years, and I finally justified building one as a “work” computer. So I did a few weeks of research and then ordered. Didn’t think of asking here, because I didn’t know it was a thing.

Any suggestions on a good brand? I was going to go with a Corsair 600 W modular but scrapped it trying to save money.

Corsair is (EDIT: I kant speel) fine. The PSU is the glue that everything depends on, don't scum out on that....

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

Corsair usually has the best range of PSUs in that budget range, just look at some reviews before buying.

Also that mouse is not the best choice, even for work related things. If you are willing to spend $10 you could get the g502 Hero which is better for gaming and office work:
