Pc turns off when gpu is stressed

GuKruger

I've been having some issues with my pc. It turns off by itself under load, I was testing it using heaven benchmark, but it shuts down after a minute or so. I think the problem is the power supply because it's a D tier, but it's brand new. My system needs maximum 500 watts, and my psu can output 700 watts. Airflow is really good, temps stayed below 60C° always. I already tried running 2 separate PCIE cable instead of just one, but it didn't work.

cpu: Ryzen 7 5800x

gpu: 3070 Gigabyte OC

mbo: Aorus Master x570

ram: Crutial Ballistix 2×8GB 3600Mhz CL16

ssd: Corsair MP600 Core 1TB

psu: EVGA 700 BQ

It's all brand new except gpu and mbo... 😕

Pull the GPU power target as low as possible with something like MSI Afterburner, see if it still crashes when running a benchmark.

Could also try reseating the GPU? Sometimes it's that simple.

Also possible issues are RAM as I've had that happen with bad RAM. Could try Memtest86 to see if Zando's suggestion doesn't work.

Replace the PSU. The outdated intenal design is not good enough for a 3070.

Motherboard BIOS fully up to date?

XMP enabled?

It didn't shut down because the pc was using less power... Ty for the reply!

I did, but nothing... Ram sticks are brand new and good quality, it seems like a stretch to me. I tried running Fur Mark, which targets the gpu alone, and it shut down the same second I start it. Ty for the reply!

I already ordered a Cosair RMX750 (A tier). Yes bios is up to date, and I tried resetting it too. XMP is enabled. Ty for the reply!
