Long story short: No, you shouldn't.

 

However, if you have important data on some form of storage device that you don't want to lose, it might be worth looking into backing up that data, no matter the circumstances.

If you are archiving, then in matters, but over the time span that you'd actively use a storage device, it won't matter.
