Hi, I did a new configuration in March 2022. Everything was new except the GPU which remained the same (RTX 2070). I had a lot of crashes with this configuration, which often happened in some games (minecraft without mods for example). I thought the problem was with the GPU so I didn't really pay attention to it as I don't play many games but today I was able to change my graphics card to try a RX 6750 XT and I found that the problem is always the same on the same games. When testing with the internal GPU of the 12700k the problems were still there. So I asked a friend who advised me to start with a memtest86. Before even finishing the first pass I found myself with 3 errors. After 2 hours I have one pass finished and the second started with more than 25 errors. I suppose that the rams are defective.

The new config :
Asus ROG Maximus z690 Hero
i7 12700k
DDR5 G-Skill CAS32 6400mhz
Asus ROG Strix RTX 2070
1000w power supply

What do you think?

is that at stock? If its erroring overclocked, run everything at 100% stock. If it continues to error, then you either have a bad memory controller on the CPU or bad Memory.

When you say stock you mean if I switched something in the bios ? I've only activated the XMP1 profile on the bios

Disable XMP then and retest. You can also revert your BIOS to stock/default settings usually by hitting F7 I believe.

activate xmp2, if not pass, return it, new memory should pass without error.

6400MT/s on 1st gen DDR5 IMC is a bit much. I'm sure its improved since launch with BIOS updates, but I remember at Launch and for a month or so after unless you manually tweaked everything, 6000 was pretty much a no go on all but a few cases.

@Skiiwee29 if I want 6400 do I have to tweak by myselft the RAM or resend it to take new one ?

You likely need slower ram. 6400 is to hard on 1st Gen imc. I would get 6000 or 5800 unless you want to do lots of manual tweaking with timings and voltages.
