Problem with type c charging

Go to solution Solved by Levent,

Issue might be the your laptop after all. I found this on Dell forums and it seems you got nobody other than Dell to blame.

bought a 200W GaN USB C Wall Charger with a SooPii 100W USB C to USB C Cable to charge my XPS 15 7950 using USB C (Thunderbolt 3). but it only "holds" the battery, as it sees it as a 65W charger. I suspect the problem to be the cable, even tho its supposed to be able to charge up to 100W, please help.

true, but when i plug a XPS 15 9570 type C charger, it charges at 90W...

That's Dell's charger. From that thread, it seems they are limited to 65 W from anything not Dell.
