Streaming to another computer

I am building a new computer soon and wanted to stream to a laptop so I could work anywhere in the house.  I tried VNC viewer and server, which were quite laggy.  Is there any way to stream your screen using a router but not through wifi (like the shield does).

You need to use Wi-fi to connect to the router itself.

wifi=internet ....to some people some times.

 

teamviewer uses your internet connection, even on the same network. there will be a delay

Thanks for the replies.  Does something like the nvidia shield depend on the wifi connection you pay for or on you router (a/b/g/n/ac)?  (Just out of curiosity)

Thanks.  It has a 'offline mode' where the computers aren't connected to the internet but the are connected within a local network.

Teamviewer is also laggy for that kind of stuff.

 

I would just use Remote Desktop, built into windows, if you're using windows, at least.

Thanks guys... I've decided to not do stream / remote desktop anyways.
