I built a rig for a friend and if you press the power button it turns on for literally 1 second then turns off or literally 1 second, and restarts and stays on. My friend is getting annoyed by it but i have tried to troubleshoot it but cant find a solution. Anyone know? Thanks!

Can you post a pic of the build open so you can see the motherboard and the connectors.

Make sure the power cables are plugged into the mobo.

Same thing happened to me last week. Turns out I connected the main power cord but not the secondary one...

Sounds like PSU selftest during powering sequence. Does it do this on every boot or just after cold boot (cord plugged off or PSU switch flipped). If its only selftest there's nothing to worry. Same symptoms can be mobo, ram or PSU problems though.

I cant get a pick my friend has it an its not a one time thing it has always done this since i build it still works like i said it turns on for a sec, turns off then turns on again and boots normally. It more of a annoyance then a issue. The pc still works fine.

Actually i think this is the problem. My pc does the same thing on cold boots. We both have corsair psu's aswell but i know what causing his everytime is because his dad makes him unplug it every night because of power consumption. Thanks did not think of that!
