  1. Yea, 2 really is not a question is it? Its more of a statement to make sure people are ok with it. As for width it is 2'4". The section for the 10 degree angle keyboard/mouse section is 2'6" wide and 1' long. I can say that the desk will be somewhere in the $400-$500 range.
  2. Still working that out megab, PM your email and I can let you know in a few week once I build it. In the mean time would you be able to answer those question I have for me?
  3. I have been asked that before but I feel a cup holder would not be necessary because there is plenty of desk space and shelves you could put it on and second, its something not everyone could utilize. I use a 1L cup and a standard cup holder would not be big enough. But if it is wanted I can look into it. Thanks for your input.
  4. For those who were not part of my first design of this desk you can click here: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/317310-kickstarter-gaming-computer-desk-get-your-ideas-added/page-2 I have worked alot on refreshing the design for this desk. I have gone a more simplified route for the design and structural integrity while keeping the table top design people liked. Here are new models and the aspects of those designs: A - This is a 3x USB 3.0 compartment for keyboard mouse and something else special. B - These are the holes for the legs, this allows you to route and cable manage through the leg and to the rear of the PC. C - These are cutouts for the LEDs, THey will be RGB to match any system. D - This 2'6" keyboard/mouse section can come down to a 10 degree angle for ergonomics. E - These are rubber grommets for cable management. F - Sections of the internal part of the desk are cut out for cable management. G - Shelves for storage. H - Aluminum sheet trim for anesthetics. I - 30" Aluminum legs J - Grommets for the legs in 2 locations. These allow for different hight cases and prevents wires from damage on metal. Questions I need answered: 1. This desk is 6' long. This is what I need in a desk but would it be the size most others would be looking for? It is quite big! 2. No matter how many orders I get I want to make these at home to prevent any issues with quality assurance. Benefit of this is that there should be no issues at all because I will be making them, second desks will be made either way if its funded or not. Downside shipping/construction might be slow. 3. I Have no affiliation with the Gaming Paradise desk that the creator did not give the desk to the buyers and they are left out. Out of the kindness of my heart I feel I should give a discount to those ripped off by the Gaming Paradise desk. 4. What would you like to see on this desk? 5. Do you like the ergonomic 10 degree angle implementation Note: I dont want to add any wire default because everyones system is different. Ex. I use optical for audio, so a 3.5mm jack would be useless. This desk is able to be taken apart in sections to allow the user to mange and route cables themselves, I think this is a huge bonus! I will be making this desk in the next coming weeks so real photos will be coming soon!
  5. Also who ever moved this to peripheral is clueless, there was no need for it to be moved from general discussion, and by definition of peripheral in PC terms state: A peripheral is a "device that is used to put information into or get information out of the computer." There are three different types of peripherals: Input, used to interact with, or send data to the computer (mouse, keyboards, etc.) (mouse, keyboards, etc.) Is the text for this topic area so you kind of moved this to the wrong area. It would be nice to be moved back (GoodBytes).
  6. Yes a headset holder would be great I have that same issue aswell. Also as said in a previous comment, you will be able to swap the sides of the shelves and tower area.
  7. It has plenty of leg room 2'6" if 30 inches is not enough then you may want to see a doctor. Also it does have good cable management if you read the article. Sorry to sound rude but you cant rave about something if you don't read it.
  8. Yes i was thinking of that, but i wanted to get a basic desk out first. It would take a while to figure out measurements and placement for fans, standoffs and reservoirs. Most people would use it for liquid cooling.
  9. Yes and the first photo, I wanted this section to be able to come down 10 degrees so its ergonomic and the edge of the desk does not dig into your wrists. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1fw4cA4xvsVsLUazZMooLfrsdF7YaJC9NO1l6A-DbvLY/viewform?c=0&w=1
  10. ? You can use a vesa mount and it has plenty of room for 3 monitors.
  11. Hello, my goal is to design a desk to meet the majority of PC gamers needs. I have a few desk designs that I would like to be reviewed by you, I want your opinion on what you would like to see on the desk and the features it should have. I want this desk to NOT end up like the paradise desk, I am looking at traders and factories in Canada to have a good quality and not too expensive of a desk. (You can check out the fraudulent moves of the Paradise desk by clicking here) So I really have no idea what people would be looking to pay for a desk and what they want in it, here is my personal desk design: A: This section is 2'6" that can fold down 10 degrees for a more ergonomic wrist and arm alignment on the desk. (Back = Down, Front = Up B: This area is a full 2 and 1/2 feat to fit any size tower extra space can be filled with shelves identical to other side. D: This lower section of A is used for supporting A at the 10 degree angle but also is a compartment fro cable management (Cable management goes through holes C then goes through a hole in D then down the leg and out to the I/O panel of your case.) E: Lots of shelving with 9" between each. This is just my desk that I will be using but I want to design a desk that suits everyone needs and expectations in a high quality desk, I still want to make it cheap and widely available while still maintaining quality. I will be using Oak Plywood for my desk, i think for a desk I will use a more minimalist look like the Paradise Gaming Desk and use MDF. I don't want to add wiring into a desk because I don't want to deal with faulty wiring such as the Paradise Desk, also not everyone uses the ports that would on the desk rendering them useless. The paradise desk had HDMI and DVI but some people use DP, so i don't want to add features that would not be useful to everyone, but that's why I am here asking you. So let me know in the comments what you are looking for in a computer desk, I have a few desk top design options: I will work from he information i get here and plan to bring updates fairly quickly. You can also use this google doc forum to share your opinions and ideas. This way I can also let the people interest know when this has updates and comes available.
  12. So this all started when I went to install the "USB 3.0 Driver: Intel® USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver for Intel® 8/9 Series and C220/C610 Chipset Family". I started the installation and it failed after removing the USB drivers. So at this point I had no USB functions what so ever, only place i could use my mouse and keyboard was in the BIOS and Parted Magic. With no other way to install the drives because Parted magic doe snot have the Wine Microsoft packages to run .exe files, I went to do a system recovery with my windows repair disk. Worked fine other than removing all my desktop folders and cant get them back on my desktop without coping. The main issue is when I restart my computer. I organized my desktop logged into accounts and downloaded stuff, but when I restarted my computer it reverted to the exact place where the recovery brought me. So now any changes i make after restart are lost and im put back to the same place as the recovery brought me. I know know that others had issues with those intel drives so screw you intel. Any help would be great, i am also looking into this issue myself but could use some others. Its really aggravating! Thanks! EDIT: It does not exactly do another recovery. What I have noticed is that it just resets all programs to default. I am signed out of every program, desktop background is default (after I changed it before restart). I know it does not do a full recovery because I made a folder in my C: Drive before boot and its still there. My first clue of knowing its resetting is because when i log in its sits at preparing desktop for a minute or two. Its just setting everything to default and I cant figure it out!
  13. Most PSUs click on and off 2-3 times after power loss. (What the heck is a power flush). Also as long as your using the PSU for the correct wattage it should be fine. If my PC Crashes from overclocking then it acts as if a power surge and PSU comes on, off then on, then off, then stays on.
