I currently am running a Ryzen 5 1600 with the AB350 Pro4 motherboard. Currently I have an Nvidia GTX 1050 and a network card attached to the motherboard, I want to also add a Intel Arc a380 for encoding, rendering and other stuff but I don't know if I have enough lanes to support it, especially since I have a network card also attached to it, should I be concerned or will I have enough?

You are very deficient in lanes for you goals

Why don't you just remove the 1050 and do everything on the A380??

Really? How many lanes do I have left without the arc gpu?

Well your CPU has only 20 pcie lanes, your GPU is probably taking 16 lanes . Not sure how much your network card is taking, but storage devices use 4 lanes. You most probably are using all your CPU lanes already. The chip on the motherboard can allow you a bit more, I think but at the cost of performance. You could just replace the 1050 with the A380, or if you wanna have both of them you'll need a motherboard and CPU upgrade.

Would have to check mobo manual/settings, but usually you'll have 2 hardware 16x slots, if you populate both the mobo will automatically split x16 CPU lanes between them, so each will run at x8. That's plenty of bandwidth for either of those GPUs so it should be a non-issue.

Unless you play only DX12 or Vulkan titles, ARC is reaaaaaally hit or miss, mostly miss right now. Horrible frametimes so everything feels super juttery even if it does run at 60, and it usually won't. Gotta wait for Intel to mature the drivers before it's a really dependable main GPU for anyone playing older games (or heck current live service ones, Destiny 2 is an ongoing title, but originally released in 2017 using DX11 so it runs like booty).

ARC has mostly drivers issues that are relatively quickly fixed

And a 1050 is so weak that I think even with bad drivers the A380 will be at least equivalent...

Well, quickly as in months and months instead of years and years. But not super quick.

Depends on the title. Again, frametimes are often so horrible that actual fps doesn't matter. I can get 60fps (I use v-sync so it locks to my refresh rate) in Destiny 2 with my A770 and it'll feel like 15-20 due to the frametimes being incredibly inconsistent, entire game feels hitchy/laggy. It's playable, but I feel a little ill so I've just been playing newer engine titles that run DX12 or Vulkan. Fallout 76 is similar, I get motion sick due to how inconsistent frametimes/fps are.

And that's an A770 LE (the 16GB one basically, same GPU core) at 1080p, I imagine an A380 would do much worse. So again, hit or miss. If you play one of the older titles Intel has specifically optimized for (mostly stuff like league and CSGO) then it should be fine, otherwise it'll likely be shit.
