How to correctly burn in headphones?

PapaSimmz

Audiophile in trianing here, just got a pair of Mayflower V3's and their Amp. Best sounding headset i have ever had. What is, how to, and that are the repercussion of breaking them in?

There no horse mate :P. You can just enjoy those pair of headphones and their exceptional quality they produce as far as audio goes.

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.

Some say it has very little change and some say it has a change but I noticed very little to no difference in my HD 518s after long time use. Also they're headphones not a headset, headsets are asinine.

Play your music collection on shuffle at normal volume at night, I suggest putting it in a shoebox if you want it to not leak sound too badly.

Or just...you know... listen to them like a normal human.

1. Put them on

2. First impressions

V3 = new Headphones("Mayflower T50RP V3")

if (V3.goodImpressions)

{

    #keep them

}

anyways...just keep them if you like them.  Most of the "burn in" is just people getting used to the signature of their cans

If you really want to do the burn-in, despite all the opinions above, do this:

- google and download 'pink noise'

- plug in your headphone to your PC, play the pink noise

- adjust the volume to comfortable hearing level. You can go a bit louder if you want to, just not too loud

- set the media player to loop the playback, so it will play over and over again

- you decide how long you want to do the burn-in. Some go for 10 hours, some even go to 24+ hours

- continue with your life, and come back when it's due time

Ok but how does the goodImpressions property get assigned?
