Budget (including currency): $2,400 USD (Counting monitor)

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Minecraft, Tetris ;), Overall coding, EVE Online, more Tetris ;)‎

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pVxMxs, I would like to play the games around 150-170fps, and the monitor is not going to change, unless multiple people think it is flaming garbage. First build, and I am on a 2016 iMac right now...

...Anything beats this heap of crap.

Just asking for some general advice on whats good and bad, what I should change, etc. Keep in mind that it's my first PC build, so any advice about building the literal computer, even buying stuff would be great. Please help!

Happy holidays LTT community,

re monitor: imo spend the extra couple of bucks and wait for the M27Q-P to be in stock. It has a RGB layout instead of BGR and should be better for text.

Ryuikko gives a good build but I'd swap out the Kingston NV2 for something better, maybe a 2TB Kingston KC3000. There are posts on TPU that the NAND on these things can be QLC.
