Hello,

System keeps shutting down and rebooting so many times more then before with Kernel-Power-41 error on Windows 11 system. I just had new Ram/Memoery replaced as the other single stick since it got pooped and so I replaced it with the same system ram as before. As I keep on getting BSOD from memory management error. Now with new ram, no more BSOD

However still getting Kernel-Power-41 error, just the screen goes black and the full sytem goes into reboot, does not matter what I'm doing it does it anytime. I left my system on Idle and after 30mins it rebooted.

Specs

Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z490-E

Processor: Intel Core i7-10700K @ 5.2GHz

GPU: Asus GTX Strix 1660TI

RAM: Corsair 32GB 3200Mhz Vengeance RGB

Case: Phanteks Pro M Tempered Glass

CPU Cooler: Corsair H115i PRO

SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 500gb

SSD: Crucial MX500 1TB

M.2: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB

HDD: WD HDD 2x 2 TB + Total 4 TB

I run CMD system tests and nothing came back. I have not touched Bios other then is is set on XMP 1  - I was loading into MSFS2020 and it rebooted again 😞

I had this same issue a couple times in past... One cause I had was an "overclocked" video card, changed it from extreme to silent (this was a Gigabyte model). That took care of it one time for me. Recently I had this issue come up on a DIFFERENT system. I updated everything to no success. I changed the PSU, no dice. I finally broke down and bought a UPS. This corrected my issue the 2nd time. Apparently my wall outlet allows "micro-stutters" into my PC that would cause it to shut off and come back on with the code "41" error in the event logger. Hopefully this helps.

Well, My system i OC other then the GPU, I have reset the bios and update the drivers and Seems that I have not had the errors since then. then again I made many chnages and just can't tell if it would go off again. LIke the waiting game 😛 All started since bad ram stick XD

Well, yeah, UPS matters, but PSU wattage still not listed. Waiting on that.

I said it's a 850 wattage power block

Ok, here's the first test, leave it in Bios (hopefully the fan/temps screen), see if it shuts down then. This test will eliminate a problem in the hardware or Bios Setup.

What, leave the system running in the bios? for X-amount of time, I have it on the Q-fan cotrol with graph

Been running a free software called OCCT with no OC 12 hours ago and no crash. Running it again with only XMP2 setup so that my ram is running around 3200mhz - first test no errors, it went off for the second test while using the system at the same time.

OC might be the proplem and yet goes off when it's not OC 😞 Testing the ram again to see any errors and seeing if the motherboard ram slot is at fault. No idea why I would think that 😛

But end of the day I say it's the GPU, gotta be right, GPU runs fine while gaming and no on screen weired looks yet I do hear the GPU buzzing and maybe that GPU pooping it

  • 4 weeks later...

My system is not OC anymore for awhile and still get odd "Kernel-Power-41 Error" out of the blue, not as many as before.

But seen that I have a 8-pin Power connector into the motherboard and next to that another 4-pin power connector but with no power cable going into it.. And so when my SPU was OC months and months ago how the FLIP it work then.

Do I need to instart power into a 4-pin slot also ot not bother
