I've just installed a 3060. I've successfully undervolted to 0.850V.

Now I'm facing a minor choice : letting the card manage the fan with its 0db fan mode till 63° or managing the fan with Afterburner with 1000rpm minimum fan speed.

Temperature rises up to 59° in 0db mode and 1000rpm seems not audible for now.

I'd prefer the 0db mode but I'm a little worried that those 59° all day, each day will do some harm in the long run.

What did you choose ?

I would just run the fans at the fastest speed that theyre not audible at, 59c is just fine 24/7 and itll still last decades or atleast till something that isnt the gpu core dies first, but i view 0db as uneccesary strain on the components so id prefer to run cool cause why not?

Well, I'd prefer to have compromise, something like 600rpm, but this isn't allowed 😞

But why? Theres literally no point in running your fans even slower if they arent even audible in the first place

My computer isn't noisy but it isn't silent either. 5 fans, 3 hdds. So I didn't notice the gpu fan yet, but it's there somewhere. 1000rpm is meaningful.

In that case just leave it on 0db, wont make a noticable difference in lifespan as youll likely replace it many years before itll just die and stop working
