Something is wrong with my pc

Go to solution Solved by rytkaaaa,

Yeah so I figured it out , and hope this is a fix for someone else as well.

After checking everything I saw that only two of my cores are being used for some reason, and the fix was :

In windows search typed msconfig , in system configuration went to boot>advanced boot options> uncheck number of processors and restarted the pc.

Now Im getting around 120 fps in PUBG and all is fine!!

Hello so I've bought a built pc with new/slightly used parts and it's specs are :

CPU:i7-4790 non k

GPU: Saphire nitro + RX580

RAM: 16GB Ram dual channel

Motherboard:B84M-G

So according to can you run it and all I can run PUBG both minimum and recomended , but when I try to play it stutters really badly at any settings and I get 40-50 fps which are really unstable.

Something I've noticed is my cpu is at 100% when im running the game and it stays at 3.6ghz locked. Also after messing with some settings I can't change minimum/maximum processor state usage in power options , it's just gone , tried cmd regedit and every method there is. Reinstalled bios so the settings are default now.

It's just unrealistic to me that I can't run pubg and it's clearly something to do with my cpu. Any ideas what can I try ?

Also it's not thermal throttling cause cpu temps are 60-70C while gaming and 45 -55 idle.image.thumb.png.428dba3e66c8b07636be878240f2e444.png

it sounds like it's a cpu bottleneck. you say new/slightly used, but 4790 is like an 8 year old cpu and only barely above minimum requirements for pubg. my 6600k i replaced like 3 years ago stuttered pretty bad and was pinned at 100% in pubg with a 1070, so not surprised that yours is maxed. you could try capping it at a lower fps to see if it helps with stuttering.

PUBG isn't the same game it was in 2017/2018.

Are you using DX11 or DX11 Enhanced?

Running CPUBalance?

Latest Intel chipset drivers? Game on an SSD?

Try lowering your details and running DX11 not Enhanced. DX12 is broken in the game.

Avoid hot drops with a lopt of players, the worst performance is at the starts of the match when the most players are alive.

Limit your ingame framerate to smooth the framedrops.

Your scores are super low, esp. MT, according to CPU Z score database it should be 400/ 2100 you have 360/ 1000 it's like half of the cores don't work  ??

Thanks for the advice but it was not it , the 4790 handles Pubg easily , according to benchmarks and can you run it I can run it at both minimum and recommended , and I've fixed the problem , only two of my cores were being used , now I'm getting 120fps at pubg medium graphics:)

Thanks for the info!

The I've managed to fix it only 2 out of 4 cores were used on my cpu! 😄
