Low power high efficiency power supplies?

alex75871

I am looking for a low power, high efficiency ATX Power Supply with 350-500w max output rating and platinum or titanium rating.

The best I have found so far is the Supermicro PWS-668-PQ.

Does anyone have other suggestions?

Technically power supplies are most efficient around 50% load usually. You could overspec your power supply for increased efficiency.

Closest thing to what you want could be one of the seasonic fanless power supplies. For example the SeaSonic PRIME 600 Titanium (over 500w but its the lowest titanium rated one I found) or one of the Seasonic Prime PX Fanless (there is a 500W variant thats 80+ Platinum)

My total system load is ~150w under load, hence why I want a 300-500w max PSU.

Honestly, I use a Super Flower 8Pack Edition 2000W 80+ platinum unit in my second pc despite it using barely any power and if my readings are correct it is not AS inefficient as I would expect. (Only reason I have it is that I got it for 100$)

PS: This is not advice on buying this fat brick, but maybe check out Super Flower power supplies but I doubt they come in such low wattages.

Don't look at 80 Plus ratings. Some Gold certified PSUs are at low loads more effycient then Platinum. Is the Cooler Master V550 Gold V2 available in your country?

Nice find! Exactly what I was looking for.

Are you serious. $200 for a 400w PSU is what you're looking for? A PSU that was launched in 2012 and EOL 3 years ago so it must be on the shelf somewhere for at least 3 years. A PSU that is less efficient for your needs than the Cooler Master I suggested and the Cooler Master is fanless up to 200w too for not half the price.

I found one for the fraction of the price in my country. I do not need a 550w PSU for 150w system lol. Please provide evidence if you are going to make claims like that.

Sorry I forgot to mention the PSU must be compatible with ATX form factor, I have updated my original post. Nice finds, thank you.

Well, these being smaller, you got a chance.  Perhaps you can even get a mounting bracket or make one.
