Kitkat is much heavier than gingerbread, so you won't have much internal memory, but they both run fine with 512mb of ram.

I have a samsung galaxi mini with stock 2.3.6 gingerbread. If I want to install a cyanogenmod rom with the new kitkat, it will take more or less memory? What version consumes more?

I can't find this information on google.
