So i have NZXT Switch 810 in white and i want to repaint it matte black colour or get my case powdercoated. I like the look of powdercoating on linus TJ07. But dont know if anyone in UK or otherwise Northern Ireland(where I am based at) do, I know there is one website who do it but it would cost alot to ship such a heavy case to UK mainland to get it powdercoating on it. So most likely id love if you would help me find someone based in Northern Ireland so that the Shipping price would be reduced.

If not anyone here has repainted the case before and could give me tutorial or advice on how to do it and what products paint/primer/clear coat. I am from Northern Ireland and im not sure if there is alot of people from UK/Northern Ireland who can help me find perfect products on doing this wee mod i guess you could call it.

Thanks for all the replies and answer.

Sorry for my english if i wrote something incorrectly.

find a car painting place, they can do it for you, there are other things as well, but they can atleast

Already tried like three of them all of them said they cant do it because they dont deal with computer cases only vehicles.

Thanks for answer anyways

You see in Northern Ireland PC Gaming is not that huge like console gaming is right now. So There aren't many companies around here who do such a service or are used to modding or doing different stuff to PC Cases

Sometimes the big guys don't have time for things like this, look for the small guys and see from there

The most common result of insufficient wattage is a paperweight that looks like a PC

oh, I get that completely. I would not expect them to have handled anything like it before, but I would just think that they could help  if you went around to some of the smaller places and explained the situation. They have the equipment, and its a pretty easy job compared to powercoating an entire car.

If no body shops will do it you can always buy a paint spray gun and some the correct paint and follow the similar steps you would if you were painting a car, like sanding off the old paint. Find a tutorial online on how to paint a car and just follow the steps just with the case.

What if i wanted my case powdercoated that would be a different deal then :D

Whole cars are not power coated but rims on cars are. I suppose you could just follow a tutorial on how to powder coat rims, I'm pretty sure the process is very similar just using different paint.

You should really have a go at painting the case yourself. It's easy to do and alot of fun. I'm not sure whether or not the NZXT case can be taken apart, which would be easier for painting, but if not you should be fine nonetheless. I believe the case is primarily plastic, so the first link is for that. Important also that you don't skimp out on the primer or paint, use good quality paints. I used Dulux QuickDry enamel.

Heres afew links ok:

When it comes to painting DO NOT hold down the nozzle of the paint can without moving the can. I will provide a YouTube tutorial to explain how to paint as you can easily screw it up if you don't know what to do. The process for applying primer and paint is exactly the same. Watch how he moves his hand from the left to the right in bursts, applying a think layer after each pass.

It's also important that you have a relatively dust and wind free aswell as well ventilated area. After each coat of primer use 800-1000grit sandpaper, giving it what is called a process of "wet sanding", which is simply soaking your sand paper in water aswell and very lightly rubbing. Its quite a process but it ensures you will have a very smooth surface to apply the paint.

The case has rivets in so ill just need to get small drill to drill through rivets and take case apart. Also about ventilated area umm...

You commented in my quote. I presume this was your comment "The case has rivets in so ill just need to get small drill to drill through rivets and take case apart. Also about ventilated area umm"

If you intend to re-rivet your case again, than drilling out the rivets now to paint all the parts separately is the more desirable option. Now for a well ventilated area I gather that's a little difficult? Perhaps a garage space or even inside but make sure you have windows fully open aswell as plastic all around the area so you don't paint anything you don't want to..ie: chairs, lamp etc.

Don't have anything like a garage since i live in house which doesnt have a garage or any other building anywhere close so id need to get some sort of shack or paint it somewhere else :D
