I don't have speakers plugged in, I wanted sound to be able to play through the monitor or the pc itself, If I plug in headphones I get audio but no other way, Are speakers required ?

Assuming the monitor has built-in speakers, you have speakers already.

How is the monitor connected? HDMI? DP?

I still need you to take the screenshots I requested - you can skip the picture of the audio jack though.

Hello, I have just completed my first build, I have installed my motherboard and GPU drivers, But I have no audio? When I check audio setting it says that Realtek digital audio is working correctly, I have checked that my volume is up, I've tried uninstall and reinstall the audio driver, But nothing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Link below for my build

Plugged into Motherboard or PC case headphone jack? If motherboard, what color plug? Should be the green one. If PC case Headphone jack, make sure its connected to the motherboard securely.

Plugged into motherboard, The connector on the board is Black but underneath it says HD Audio.

Please take a picture of where the speakers are plugged into on the motherboard.

Also: Right click on the Sound Icon and select "Sounds" (This is assuming Windows 10, but earlier versions, it's kind of similar).

This opens the Sound control applet.

Click on the Playback Tab, and take another screenshot.

Post them both here - I suspect it's simply using the wrong output by default.
