Budget (including currency): $500-$700

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: OBS streaming, and recording multiple sources at once. (want high quality encoding)

I livesteam sports games for my highschool and we want to get a new PC, using a school laptop rn and it crashes all the time and is just generally super annoying. All this PC will do is take hdmi inputs, thinking an elgato cam link pro and audio inputs via bluetooth and usb mics and stream that to youtube with overlays and scoreboard. Need lots of USB IO on the motherboard or room for expansion cards. Would love. a motherboard with good wifi and bluetooth tho I could just get external adapters if neccecary ig. I know how to build computers though I know nothing about pc parts so suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Dont pay out of pocket for their streaming equipment, either get them to pay for it or its not gonna be worth it.

Generally what you are gonna have to do is buy used hardware in this case. cause you are not buying anything new for 500-700$ thats gonna do all this. Also you dont want to mess with bluetooth audio for recording and stuff, its pretty awful.

No I'm not paying they are. I'm just looking to see what hardware would be good. You dont think I can get something decent for $700?

Not brand new no. Streaming and stuff like that usually isnt going to run well AT ALL on the bare minimum spec stuff which is kind of what youll have to do if 700$ is your price cap. Used hardware is a LOT more flexible and you should be able to get that done, but based on school rules and funding you generally arent allowed to buy stuff with the allocated budget that is like that.
