So, I can tell you if the parts are good together, I don't know if any of the parts could be swapped by a cheaper option.

CPU and Motherboard looks good, already bought them? (some would suggest to consider buying a 13th gen CPU if you didn't)

CPU cooler seems enough to cool the CPU, and I don't know if it leaves enough room for RAM but I think it does.

RAM looks good, storage looks good.

GPU seems good probably.

Case can fit everything.

PSU in terms of Wattage is enough.

@Pixelfie  @Dukesilver27- what do u think?

Cheaper, much better cpu cooler, and I went with a 980 Pro so you can carry that over easier to the next build. I also went with a 3070Ti instead.

I was summoned here.

Changes:

Better cooler, 12700K runs quite hot. I don't see the point of ARGB cooler when you pick a solid panel instead of glass panel case.

I don't see the need for 32GB of RAM for gaming and streaming, instead I picked 3600MHZ 16GB.

SSD changed to SN770, better value and more performance than any game could use, gen 4 too.

RX 6950 XT instead of 6900 XT, cheaper too, whats up with that.

Higher quality PSU, multi rail, FYR https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/

Better 1440p display, you don't want to cheap out on displays man, it's literally the window to your games, what your eyes see.

Thanks for all the recommendations!

Yes, I already have the CPU and Motherboard, I got them as a bundle at Micro Center for $349.99. It's still within the return period if I need to make changes.

Couple of questions:

1. If the SN770 and a refurbished Samsung 980 Pro were the same price, which one should I get?

2. LG 27GL83A-B vs Dell 27” S2721DGF vs GIGABYTE M27Q-PRO on sale now for $249.99?

3. Should I buy a used graphics card like a 3080, a new one, or wait for the 7000 series to be released in December?

4. AIO or air cooler? I went with an air cooler because I don't know much about water cooling and air coolers seem to last longer but I can try to figure an AIO out if they deliver much better performance.

5. Finally, is there a way I can find out how all the parts go together? This is my first build and I'm a bit confused even though I watched a few videos, they don't really explain how the wires and everything go together and I'm afraid of messing something up.

Thanks!

  1. SN770. I wouldn't trust a refurbished SSD. Plus, it's lifespan is down already.
  2. The LG or Gigabyte one. Can almost guarantee that the Dell monitor is a TN panel, and those are horrible for gaming.
  3. New one.
  4. Air cooler. Great performance for less price, less maintenance, and less worry.
  5. Youtube. JayzTwoCents, LinusTechTips, and Bitwit have guides. I think even Terry Crews said he used Bitwit's PC building guides, but don't quote me on that one.

It's IPS, a quick google search would tell you that.

OP, just select which ever is fits your criteria, if you care more for color reproduction, then pick the one with best color gamut and accuracy, or if you care more about response time, then go with the fastest response time.

Go to this website for the insights of each monitor. rtings.com

1. SN770, new SSD is better.

2. Answered on the above post.

3. If you accept the risks of getting used cards, why not, they are better bang for buck. I bought a used RX 6800 XT about 4 months ago.

4. Great air coolers could rival great AIOs, and air cooler is much more reliable.

5.

3. 3070ti vs 3080 those are close in performance, the 3080 is obviously better sometimes offering significant performance boost, but remember not all Ultra graphics are really noticable..

4. Coolers differ, but Air coolers can be as good as AIOs sometimes better or even quieter (I think)

5. You can search benchmarks of different CPUs and GPUs on youtube

do keep in mind though that sometimes these benchmarks for example compare 2 CPUs but use the fastest available RAM and GPU which means if you get something slower the framerates might not add up

here's an example of benchmark video: (some benchmarks aren't accurate and are only for giving you idea of how well the gear performs - that is because if you compare 2 shooter benchmarks but in one there is less action there will be obviously easier for the GPU with less action going on to create more fps)

I have seem to misread the last 5th question.

In what way is it a better cooler ?

Also why did you change the gpu ? The 6900XT is faster than a 3070 ti/3080.
