MW2 benchmarks

Hello I am relatively new to pc optimization and I need help, so some people say they have pcs with lower specs with the same custom settings and they are getting around 170 FPS…… yes ik 120 is enough but would like to understand more on my hardware and why it’s cpu heavy and the GPU is low %

The game is CPU heavy, especially on Invasion.

You're using the driver that breaks MW2, there's been a hotfix released yesterday that fixes flashing and micro stuttering.

https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5407/~/geforce-hotfix-driver-version-526.61

The benchmark is bad for Multiplayer performance. The game performance in MP swings wildly depending on which mode and which map you play on.

Why use Ultra Performance DLSS?

Here are various results from my 3 PCs - all at 1080p EXTREME settings - for context

7950x / RTX3090

5700g/ A770

5900x/ RX6900xt

Like i said I built this pc years ago and made upgrades on the cpu and GPU but I know the bare minimum on it all so I’m not sure what I should run and don’t need to run, not even sure if I set the hardware up right in the bios and stuff

Your HW is fine. The performance seems fine as well when I compare it with my R9 3900X and RTX 3060ti at 1440p. I get slightly less FPS and GPU is not used fully as the CPU is the bottleneck most of the time above 120FPS.

Ok so I’m getting about the right fps for my build it looks like just my cpu is 98% and my gpu is only 1% compared to yours does that mean the gpu is too beefy for the cpu or the cpu is too beefy for the gpu

Okay, thank you for the info and replying

The problem seems to be software since your VRAM usage never gets above 3.89GB and at 1440p you should max out the 8Gigs you have available. I mean i max 8GBs at 1080p.

| 4x16GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo 4000MHz CL16 | Sapphire Nitro+ RX 6900 XT | Seasonic Focus GX-1000|

| 512GB A-Data XPG Spectrix S40G RGB | 2TB A-Data SX8200 Pro| Phanteks Eclipse G500A |

Is there a fix to that?
