Both are good, buy the cheaper one. To me the intel isn't really worth a huge premium I bought mine because it was actually less than the evo.

The Intel 530 has one key feature that sticks out compared to the 840 EVO, and its MLC. You can brief on the differences between TLC and MLC NAND with a quick Google search. Tho in short the Intel 530 might last a bit longer than the 840 EVO. Tho if you're an average consumer (no heavy I/O daily) both will still statistically last you 10 years. According to statistics of both drives, the 840 EVO has much more read IOPS than the Intel. So personally I would choose the 840 EVO because it should become "obsolete" before it actually dies. Tho if the PC is on 24/7 and you're worried about the drive life expectancy (want it to last several years), the Intel 530 might be the better choice. Otherwise Samsung products have been the pinnacle of the market since the 830's came out.
