Hey all,

I'm looking upgrade my PC ahead of the 4080 16GB launch. I wanted to quickly sanity check my upgrade with you all,

I currently have a 2080 Super and a Samsung 970 EVO I will be putting in the case. I'm also buying a load of Noctua NF-S12A Black fans to go in the case for a relatively quiet setup, which was an ultimate goal of the build.

Any glaringly obvious mistakes? Things to improve? Some method to the madness,

  • I've purposely not gone for the 13900K, I just don't feel I need it.
  • Equally I don't feel I need a Z790 motherboard.
  • I know the case is large, but that's somewhat on purpose. Plenty of room to grow GPU wise. My current case is tiny!
  • The PSU is likely overkill, again I'm thinking about future growth. The price difference with the store I'm looking at between the 1000W and 1200W is ~5% so I figured why not go bigger.

Thanks!
