So first off I know my GPU is older but it has done so much ready and taken a tone of abuse and having no issues even when my fans were shut off somehow in the settings (thank you msi after burner) anyhow I have a rtx 570 8G and I would really like to water cool it, I feel the fans are not getting enough heat off anymore, i have never replaced the thermal paste however, bit nervous to do so but also would want to do that with actual good gear on it, so if anyone can help with finding a block that would be epic 😄

ps: I still get 60 frames on the games I play on extream detail, my CPU is my only bottle neck 😓

If I repaste it, do you have a suggestion for a better fan then the one built in? I remember seeing videos on LTT about different fans but not sure if any would fit my GPU

Depends on the route you go.
Since you referenced a LTT video I’m going to assume you mean the “deshrouding” thing that was big for a little while. If that’s the case then just about any case fan/s that cover more of the heat sink would do better.
If you want to keep the shroud and go with an oem style fan you can find them pretty easily online. If your current fans are working fine though new oem style and size fans won’t make a difference.

Awesome thanks, I mostly want to water block it because it's been through so much, almost 10 years old and still keeping up with my newer games, almost feel like it deserves something shiny for putting up with my abuse 😅

I understand wanting to keep old hardware going, but I’d be willing to bet a paste and pad job would do what you’re looking for, for 1/10th the cost.
