Hi,

I need a 140mm silent Case Fan, because my single front intake isn't enough since I installed a graphics card. The fan is supposed to be for the bottom intake and will need to pull the air through a dust filter. The fans usually run a 240 to 400 rpm with the Asus Fan Xpert Utility.

I looked at Enermax, Noiseblocker and Noctua, but I can't really decide. I know that there are tons of forum threads about this, but I could really find one that helped me.

Intel 4790k | Asus Z97 Maximus VII Impact | Corsair Vengeance Pro Series 16 GB 1866Mhz | Asus Strix GTX 980 | CoolerMaster G550 |Samsung Evo 250GB | Synology DS215j (NAS) | Logitech G502 |

Well, if you want quiet and willing to pay the price, I always recommend beQuiet!

Focus especially on the Silent Wings 2. They're beautiful and deathly quiet.

I just found this really great sound comparison at

http://www.hardwaremax.net/reviews/luefter/592-test-noctua-nf-a14-und-nf-a15-140-mm-luefter.html?showall=&start=5

They test the fan at 12Volts and at identical cooling performance speed and the after listening to all fans, the Silent Wings 2 seem to be the best.

That's because they are.

I don't recommend things unless I have some sort of facts.

Or opinions.

Or even made up-facts.

..Hmmm.

Either Noctua or Noiseblocker, be quiet! Are good but not as good as them too. And just forget about enermax they don't even come close.
