That video is from 11 months ago when it first came out. A lot of bugs and issues have been fixed. In my experience with it, it's pretty much the same as Windows 10 just with a UI overhaul. Might as well take advantage of the free upgrade while you can.

There's always videos like that, but when you use it yourself you don't actually encounter any problems. I've been using Windows 11 long ago since I got the update with no problems.

I see no reason to use Windows 10 anymore. 11 has been fine on my now 4 personal machines for over a year.

As long as you ensure that:

  • Your BIOS/UEFI is fully up-to-date.
  • You have the latest Windows 11 drivers after you upgrade, for ALL your hardware: Audio, Network, Printer, Chipset, Keyboard, Mouse
  • The system's main drive is an SSD.
  • UEFI is enabled in your BIOS
  • CSM is disabled in your BIOS

You will have a good experience.

A clean install is generally recommended (backup your data before, of course), as this will ensure no crap from Win10 will be ported to Win11. No one knows the history of the system, hence recommended. However, technically, it should be fine.

Basically everywhere it shows a wrong CPU usage, besides Windows task manager.

Its funny you mention this as I've only just noticed this but only on my few week old 7900x build. My 5800x build sitting next to it is fine. It was immediately noticeable in the Nvidia overlay. The new machine never seems to show more than 1-3% CPU usage which is wildly different than Task Manager but on my 5800x rig, its perfectly matched up.

I assumed this was a bug of this new Zen4 platform as both machines are on 22H2.
