Hello,

I wanted to ask, i'm building pc for a basic office use only. Which is only for google chrome and microsoft office. No need wifi too as they will only use LAN cables. The specs that im recommending them based on their preference are:
Mobo: Asus H510m-k
CPU : i3 - 10100
RAM : 8gb (4x2)
SSD : Silicon Power A80 P34 m.2 PCIE 512 gb.

And this brings me to my question, I've only been building gaming or performance pc all this time and my easy choice for the psu were 80 plus gold psu modular/non-modular like those from corsair, fsp, or thermaltake.

The thing is do I need those kind of psu for this basic build? My choice right now is the Thermaltake LitePower 450 Watt. No 80 plus bronze or White or nothing. Just a basic psu. Is it safe? Im just confused. Do they need high end psu for this kind of purposes? Or just a good simple one? Your replies and helps are greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Very very very very bad advice. This would mean op would get a pc killer unit.

With a * though

Anything cheap without known system murdering or reliability issues, if a psu passes those criteria then i deem it worthy and ok to use, hence why ive still stuck to this 11 year old dazumba 450w that i bought 2 years ago because it just works and it works without fail and power my system reliably, sure itd be called a bad unit but i dont give a flying shit if it has proven itself to be capable of powering my oc shenanigans without fail and with reliability, not to mention not blowing up or anything like my shit 600w chinese psu that costs over 2x more than this thing (35$)

You still want quality, but you don't need much power.

The whole built being around $300 the PSU shouldn't cost more than $50, and the super low power draw means even a crappy PSU will work just fine

Something like this will amply do
