I don't know it's Stellar data recovery

I downloaded it and ran the setup and towards the end of the setup, it said "Installing Drivers..."

So yea... no, it won't work. Sorry. 😕

Hi! So I have Windows 11 on Arm on my VM on my MacBook M1 installed using vmware. And I am trying to run an x64 app in it but it doesn't work. Doesn't Windows 11 on Arm support x64 apps by default, like isn't there an emulation already built-in or do I have to install something?

As far  as I am aware x86 apps are not supported by windows on ARM

However, if there is a way for this to work I would love to know, as it's the only thing holding me back from buying a MacBook

huh ok I thought there was some emulation and they worked but maybe not. If someone knows a way please tell me

Windows 11 on ARM does support Intel x86 and AMD64 (x86-64) instructions.

Old news post: https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2020/12/10/introducing-x64-emulation-in-preview-for-windows-10-on-arm-pcs-to-the-windows-insider-program/

Make sure that Windows 11 is on Build 21277 or higher.

I can assure it works under my Snapdragon 810 device.

Make sure your Windows 11 is fully up-to-date.

Another idea, does your app happen to include a driver?

If that is the case, then this won't work.

Applications which feature a draconian DRM where they are done via driver (same for anti-cheat systems which are typically driver based, as well) won't work. Drivers need to be in native ARM64.

Thanks for clarifying! I will use another software then. Thanks a lot. Otherwise I would have searched for why Windows can't emulate x64 apps.
