something is very fishy

I think I figured it out, and solved it. I THINK the issue was that the win10 version I was installing was veeeery old (and I couldn't update cus no internet connection). I tried installing win11 and during setup it asked me to connect to my wifi, which worked... Haven't had any blue screens since, and was able to install drivers right away!

Hey guys, I've just built a new PC, and I regret to say that things are NOT going smoothly. First I was getting blue screens, but I THINK that has been resolved by installing chipset drivers.
Now my big issue is that I can't connect to the internet, and installing the LAN drivers seems impossible. When i try to install them using the .exe that came with the motherboard, nothing happens. The window asking for administrators permission opens, but then... nothing. Updating through the device manager doesn't work either, it says something along the lines of "there are no suitable drivers" in the folder that I've chosen. I'm not super experienced in PC building and I have no idea how to solve this, do you guys have any suggestions?

The MB is a Asus rog crosshair x607e hero and I've tried both the drivers on the USB that came with the MB and downloading the drivers and transferring them over.

just a question, can you use WIFI?

even if not why not get the drivers directly from intel?

I am able to use WIFI, but am unable to connect to that too atm. I'll have a look at the drivers from intel, I downloaded them from Asus website previously.
