Hey guys,

starting to build a PC and i was wondering how good this build is, keep in mind that I got some of these parts in the states, so after tax and shipping, I got a total of about 915$ CAD (cuz haven't ordered mobo yet)

Thanks :D

P.S. don't judge me on my case, it was extremely nice looking, had to get it   :)

Not judging on the case :D

I actually like the NZXT Phantom series, they're aight.

Get an H81 board. Everything else looks alright.

Edit: Should probably be in new builds and planning. But you're new so mods won't care as much.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Sounds like you already ordered the parts, correct?

I would recommend picking up an aftermarket CPU cooler just for noise reduction.

I wont judge you on the case, we all like different things.

Also, Welcome to the forum.

Love the case, only thing is add an SSD later on, (or now if you will so you don't go in stress to back up and such) so it'll boot fast and load the programs you put on it faster.

The time you enjoy wasting, is not wasted time.

Z87 board is an uneeded extra if you don't have a "k" series cpu.

Phantom 530 while its cool case may be a little big for your system and I find having a over sized case is rather annoying. So I would recommend looking into a phantom 410 or waiting until NZXT new replacement for the 410 comes out, should be out very soon.

What's the system being used for?

Have you checked out the smaller Phantom 410 or 240? It's awkward to have such a large case with so few components.

This belongs in the New Builds and Planning section. I'm moving the thread.
