I am thinking of upgrading to a 7700x and a 4080. Will 850w gold+ be enough power?

It should be fine assuming its a high quality unit.

Assuming its a good 850W unit, absolutely. The Gold rating isn't a measure of quality.

Which Supernova? They make a lot ranging from high end to kinda crap.

Only thing I am missing a CPU cable. I saw on Ebay I can buy one and apparently the P2,T2,G3,and G2 all fit together?

For AM5 it looks like most of them need 2 8pin cables.

None of them need both.
