I really, really want to get the Constellation Package. I currently have bought NOTHING for SC, so I need an entire package. On that note, I feel that a Hornet would be a far better choice since dogfighting comes out first...

Anyone have any information to influence my decision? I'm most definitely not buying both, but I suppose I could spend on a Hornet + something else? I'd rather not pay more than $300 total... I'm just not sure how I'd end up making the money to buy a transport ship from a Hornet. Like I said though, I just jumped on this bandwagon a few days ago, so I only know as much as I read in threads or the wiki.

Thanks!

No, just get the Connie. Seeing as only one person ships will be featured in DFM V1, they will lend you a Hornet that you can use.

See, didn't know that. Thanks! So it won't be a terrible ship that I'm lent? xD

Also, there were limited offers on ships larger than the Connie, right? Just curious what some people might have ended up with...

Yeah, there were bigger ones on sale. You could try to get something on /r/starcitizen_trades. Examples of bigger cargo ships include the Banu Merchantman, Starfarer and Caterpillar. The Merchantman is a merchant ship, the Starfarer is a fuel tanker, but could become a cargo ship, and the Caterpillar is an evil version of the Freelancer, and would be good for piracy.

Hm. Have they said anything about any more ship sales, or should I just get the connie so that I don't miss out on gameplay?

Yeah, I just caved and bought one of the at cost packages off the grey market for an alpha LN.

Still think I want that connie. Might just get the Hornet Ghost though... :3

for the dogfighting module, if you don't have one of the compatible, you get to borrow one. so if you have the constellation, you can borrow a hornet until the constellation is supported.
