Recommendations on microphones?

I have been looking for a new microphone for quite some time now , ive heard that the blue snow ball and the blue yeti were decent choices.Id like to keep it under 150$ preferably maybe cheaper if possible.

Thanks

I've heard nothing but good reviews from this mic [Editors Keys SL150]. Definitely worth taking a peek at.

Otherwise, go for an AT2020. Personally I am not a fan of the sound of a Yeti, I have to listen to two people that use them in Teamspeak all the time, and I don't like how much sound they pick up. One of my friends who uses and AT2020 however, sounds great and doesn't have to annoying background noise.

Do i need a stand for it?

I have the AT2020 with a Samson MD5 stand, the Audio Technica shock mount, and an Auphonix dual layer pop filter and love it, but no you dont need a stand for it. The tripod that comes with it isnt very good though. The Editors keys SL150 is great too
