Next page often doesn't scroll to the top

Browser, version and OS: 

Firefox 105.0.2, Windows 10 build 19044.2006

 

Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened?

-Read a topic with more than one page

-After scrolling to bottom of page 1, select another page number, or click "next"

 

What happened?

Sometimes (not all the time), the page starts to scroll to the top of the page, but jumps back to the bottom once the page fully loads.

 

What did you expect to happen?

The page to scroll back to the top to continue the thread, and stay there.

Any other relevant details:

Tried disabling all browser add-ons and it still occurs, though again, not every time.

 

If it's a cloudflare error, what was the ray ID from the bottom of the error page?

This is issue with Firefox rendering page. AFAIK nothing can't be done on it as I remember noting it after one of the bigger updates. On desktop, starting to scroll usually bounces it correctly, but as you noticed too, not always. Its worse on mobile.

That is both unfortunate and what I was expecting. Part of me hoped it was something that could be fixed, but oh well. 

 

I almost never access the site in mobile (other than this reply), and I'd say it happens about 50% of the time on desktop.

true, but also happens on Samsung internet (mobile)  which is a chromium browser.
