Could I downgrade the Motherboard to a B660 chipset as I don't plan on overclocking, and the i5 doesn't have an 12600F alternative?

I also plan on having at least 1 other M.2 for gaming. I don't necessarily mind replacing this one eventually but ideally the OS M.2 I want to have good longevity on it. Any suggestions for that?

You can get a B660 (MSI PRO A is good) but DON'T GET the 12600 non K it has 0 Ecores instead of 4 on the 12600K, rather get the 12700 in this case.

For the 2nd M2 you can get a 2TB PCie3 like the WD SN570, but then you don't need a 1TB boot drive 500GB is more than enough

This is a bit more expensive but you can use a cheaper (but good and silent) cooler

I'd probably switch to a non k cpu since oc dosent give you a lot of performance boost, and a b660 to go along with it. What are you doing with this pc?

Then you could swap the CPU to a 12600k that games as well as a 12700K and use the money t ge a better GPU, the 3070Ti is too expensive for what it is

Also get a PCie4 drive, it'll last longer if you want to keep it for a long time

Another good option is to wait a month or so ti get a 13600K

This should be a better option

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/DvbyZw

Same cpu but with igpu for quick sync

Cheaper cooler that's just as good

Better board for cheaper and since z690 isn't needed for a non k cpu as well

Same kit of ram

2tb storage which should be a good nice to have

Good 3080 which should last for a while

Same case and a cheaper 850 watt psu

Does the cooler come with pre-applied Thermal paste? I know many of them do but I don't want to order everything and find out I have to delay the build by another few days for thermal paste

If you don't want RGB then why that particular case ?
