Hey,

 

The goal of this pc build is to have something which is usable, not the best peformance. I plan on adding a discrete gpu, better overall cooling, an ssd and windows 8.1 when i have the funds for it. I'd appreciate it if you guys could check this build out and look for anything that could be wrong.

 

CPU:

Model: AMD Athlon™ II X4 760K

Price: 73,90 EU

 

MOBO:

Model: MSI A78M-E35

Price: 46,99 EU

 

MEMORY:

Model: Mushkin 8 GB DDR3-1866 (1x8)

Price: 63,90 EU

 

STORAGE:

The 250gb hardrive from my old laptop.

 

GPU:

I plan on adding a discrete gpu when i have the funds for it, until then i will probaly use an old crappy one.

 

CASE:

Model: Cooler Master N200

Price: 39,49 EU

 

PSU:

Model: Cooler Master B500

Price: 42,99 EU

 

OS:

Windows 7, because it's on my laptop's old hardrive and it's FREE

 

TOTAL PRICE: 267,27 EU

id suggest waiting till you get more funds, unless thats a long time.

Err that 760k is just a CPU only.

I suggest you might need to save up more

You can't use your OS on the new system.

The OS will only boot up with your laptop hardware.

So you still need a copy of windows

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Even if OS does boot up, using the laptop hard drive is the worst idea. The drives are really slower than the typical desktops drive.

Trust me I did that once and the performance is horrible.
