Asus stritx rog rtx2080s cables

Hi guys.

Bit of a dilemma. 

New card has 2 x 8pin connectors on it.

Instructions says use 1x 6pin cable and 1x 8 pin cable.

Which port on card does 6 pin go into?

as you can see bottom pic states 2080s is 1x6 and 1x8 pin cable.

Use a single 8 pin PCI-E and another single 8 pin PCI-E power connector.

It doesn't matter which port you plug the 6-pin into. Everything is keyed so you can't really plug it into the wrong portion of the port. However, use two 8 pin cables if you have them. Only consider the 6 pin option if you do not have a second 8 pin cable.

Thanks  guys.... sadly computer didn't power on...

Uninstalled card...comp came on..installed it again..didn't come on..   getting in contact with shop where it was purchased.

Did you try it in another pc?

Different pcie slot?

Different psu?
