PC Not starting HELP!!!

So there was a huge thunderstorm last night and My PC was completly turned off and unplugged from the wall...My modem got fried which i replaced today and the lan cable was connected to my pc too...I cant turn on my PC now...The led on the Motherboard doesnt light up....I tried with diffrent PSU ...These are the specs ..My ps3 was connected to ethernet too It also got fried :\ But I need to fix my PC first...So please help me

AMD FX6100

Asus m5a78l-m lx v2

4gb DDR3 1333mhz Ram

Nvidia GTX650Ti

Corsair TX650

Seagate 1TB HDD

i guess some how ur mobo got fried sine a different PSU didnt fix it

first thing you need to do is get better electrical safety devices, since nothing would get damaged if you had a good fuse box and surge protection, also when plugging out make sure to remove the cable from the socket and not just have it laying there, since it can jump quite far

I had a surge protector and a UPS but this happend through the Modem's Coax

We can't say that it will. Call a mate and ask if you can test your GPU in his rig, or if you have it in your town, go to the local pc shop/workshop and ask if they can test it for you.

Perhaps it sounds really odd, but cannot it be that the wall plug is fried? Try a different socket.

Nope not working so i guesss i should change the motherboard

Most likely the mobo is only dead. It is possible the GC and RAM got killed with it. Basically, just take the whole pc to your pc shop and them test the parts.

I bought a new Mobo...GPU,CPU and RAM was alright but the psu died....i tryed turning on with a spare PSU i had and its working properly...i have ordered a New Seasonic PSU and Its gonna be fully fixed...Thanks all for helping me
