Hello,

I am consulting a friend on buying a new pc.

He has problems with his current pc for a few months now. We recently checkt it and it seems to work fine now.

Still he wants a new PC since the hardware is quite old: i7 4790 + gtx 980

I first configured him a build for like 1.800 Euros with an i5 12600k and an rtx 3070 to updgrade along the way maybe.

But than i remembered that amd releases their cpus tomorror and that the new 4070s is arround the corrner so we decieded to wait.

Amd would be a better choice for future upgradability but would come with an expensiv mobo and expansive ddr5 ram.

And the chips we are aiming (7600x) is not that much better than i5 12600k.

What should we do now?  He does not want to wait much more since his is already waiting since like 1/2 a year.

Would u recommend building right now?

This should rock quite a bit 🙂

Best gaming build is currently imo 12600K + 6900XT, even went for DDR5 for the future now that prices are decentish
