Hi!

So today when I was about to start my computer which had been sitting disconnected for about 3-4 days. And when I would type in my password it kept filling in the box with, what I assumed was, a random letter. So i though the keyboard was stuck, restarted the computer with the keyboard disconnected but it still kept writing this random letter.

So i clicked on the password recovery button and when it told me to choose which usb-drive to load the password recovery file from it wrote "060606" repeatedly.

I have googled it but can't find anything but laptops with their keyboards stuck. So I tried starting from a past recovery point, but It said that I don't have any which I think is strange.

So is this a virus I've gotten? or just an annoying bug..

Maybe do a clean install of Windows, it could be a virus!

Do a full system scan with your anti virus and report back. It could very well be a virus, since I've seen similar problems and the it was a virus.

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

Sorry for being so inactive.

Try booting into safe mode (press f8) and see if that still occurs.

tried that, error still occured.

Do startup repair. If you have another keyboard, try with it.

trying startup repair as i'm writing this, tried starting without a keyboard even connected and still it occured...

Edit:

Tried startup repair, it just told me to disconnect any new hardware..

another thing i noticed is that when im about to choose operating system from the Windows cd, it says my main one is on my (F:) drive, but it's supposed to be on my (C:) drive. Can this be a factor why startup repair doesn't work?
