My hard drive is literally Disappearing and Reappearing

VoidZero

My D: hard drive is literally disappearing out of nowhere and then opens the D: folder by force when the computer seems to detect it again. when it is gone the hard drive does not show up at This PC in file explorer.(last time it happened i wasnt even giving it any stress) Could my hard drive be dying? ive already changed out the SATA cable and switch to a different power cable for the hdd. i am pretty sure it is a seagate barracuda 1tb

Likely impending failure. Backup anything important ASAP and RMA if possible. This is one reason I choose Western Digital over Seagate.

I don't badmouth others' input, I'd appreciate others not badmouthing mine. *** More below ***
