Hi guys! I will say from the get go that I am very mediocre with computers, so sorry for stupid questions 😞
So I just bought a 5800x3d and I have a couple questions for you:
1. On the official AMD website it says "Max Boost Clock: Up to 4.5GHz". However, when I try to google how to boost that CPU all that comes up are these "We did something that AMD doesn't allow. Check out this 4.8GHz overclock!" videos... So my question is, what is this boost and how do I achieve it?

2. In Max Memory Speed it says:
Max Memory Speed
2x1R DDR4-3200
2x2R DDR4-3200
4x1R DDR4-2933
4x2R DDR4-2667
What are these x1/2R things?

3. My main game is WoW and I know that it's running a single core. My question is, is it possible to find out what is the best performing core is on my CPU and dedicated it solely to WoW?

That's pretty much it, I feel like I've missed something, but oh well😄

in the order that u listed them

2x1r is 2 sticks of ram each are single rank

2x2r is 2 sticks of ram each are dual rank (better)

4x1r is 4 stick of ram each are single rank

4x2r is 4 sticks of ram each are dual rank (better)

stick with dual rank as they can access your ram way faster than single rank

Probably just PBO and higher power limits. You'd need to look into what limits are safe or not for that chip.

If your windows is up to date, and you installed AMD's chipset drivers (this includes a windows power plan specifically for Ryzen chips), then your computer will do that automatically.

It depends on the specific video you find for what they're referring to specifically, there's a couple different possibilities.

4.55GHz is where the official multiplier range stops on that chip, though using things like the curve optimizer and PBO would let you get the chip closer to that range.

When people talk about overclocking that chip, they're more referring to BCLK overclocking of that CPU. That CPU doesn't officially support overclocking, but BLCK overclocking does let you get it overclocked a bit without manipulating the multiplier. It's not practical for daily overclocking though.

2x1R means two single rank memory stick.

2x2R means two dual rank memory sticks.

4x1R means four single rank memory sticks.

4x2R means four dual rank memory sticks.

Do note that the official "max memory speed" is very conservative. The max memory speed for 2x1R is realistically closer to 4800MT/s (though there isn't much point going above 3800MT/s), 2x2R and 4x1R are both closer to 4000MT/s, and 4x2R is closer to 3466MT/s

The Windows scheduler does that automatically, no need to actually worry about it.
